On the Isle, we’re passionate about working with organisations that make a difference, so when Ronald McDonald House Charities VicTas (RMHCVT) approached us to support on their first adventure challenge, El Camino for the Kids, we were super excited!

El Camino for the Kids provides an exciting twist on traditional fundraising by taking participants on an overseas adventure to Spain! A team of dedicated supporters, including RMHC Ambassador (and our good friend!) Gorgi Coghlan, endeavoured to complete the iconic 125km El Camino trail. Their goal was to raise funds to support the vital work of RMHC and ensure they can continue to provide a home-away-from-home for seriously ill children and their families.

We came on board to encourage the nation to get behind the cause via a tailored media relations campaign.

Reasons to celebrate:

  • Kick-started campaign activity via a Channel 10 Eyewitness News exclusive.
  • The Project supported Gorgi’s involvement during their Friday night broadcast, with Gorgi’s co-hosts drumming up awareness of her trek.
  • Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little showed support for their colleague Gorgi, interviewing her on Fox FM’s national drive show. She also popped by Nova FM for an interview with Melbourne’s favourite breaky show hosts; Chrissie, Sam and Brownie.
  • The Herald Sun featured Gorgi and Azri, a young girl who stayed in the Parkville House whilst waiting for a heart transplant. News Corp syndicated the coverage nationally via News.com.au, Herald Sun online and Adelaide Now online.
  • Within a two month period, the campaign reached over 12 million people.
