As we head into the last month of summer (ahh she always goes so fast), we’re reflecting on our work with Brewmanity and their new beer, Tango & Splash which kept us cool as the temperature hit record highs.

The Brewmanity crew, who are known for good beers and good deeds, set out to shake up the beer world this summer with the launch of a completely new style of lager – the juicy lager. And we can vouch, it’s bloody delish!

For the most part Brewmanity are known for their campaign to fight Motor Neurone Disease (MND) with Brewmanity’s co-founder and former Melbourne Football Club Captain David Neitz, training under former coach Neale Daniher. A small donation of every beer sold supports the Cure for MND Foundation.

Tango & Splash contributes to this cause, but it’s also played a part in elevating Brewmanity’s position as a major player in the world of beer. Here’s how we supported the awesome craft beer brewers:

Firstly, we developed and managed a digital competition hosted on Brewmanity’s Facebook page as a job listing, calling out for ‘three ultimate party hosts’ to officially launch and be the first to try Tango & Splash. With over 536,000 digital users reached, we had a range of party experts stepping up to the job. In the end, three hosts were ‘hired’, receiving five slabs of Tango & Splash delivered direct to their party by David Neitz. There was even a round of footy or two with the legend himself.

Secondly, once that party was over, we kept the celebrations going, migrating to news desks to personally drop off eskys at metro papers and pop-culture publications – all of whom were very appreciative of their Thursday afternoon knock-off drinks. News Corp were particularly stoked, syndicating coverage of the beer across their network. Nova FM’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny also got around the new brew, catching up with David Neitz to try the new lager live on air with 536,000 listeners tuning in. Cheers to that!

The reviews and feedback of this unique juicy lager have been paramount and we’ve had a heap of fun working with Brewmanity to spread the word far and wide – reaching over 8 million people if we want to get specific!

It’s safe to say we’ll be sipping away on Tango & Splash for the rest of summer and likely well into the autumn months, it’s just that darn good!
