Putting a tree on top of a five-storey apartment building isn’t something that happens every day so when Project Group asked us to support with the Topping Out ceremony of their Nightingale 1 development in Brunswick, we were pretty intrigued.

Conventionally the tree ceremony is a celebration to indicate the construction work is in order and this traditional ritual recognises the original tree dwellings displaced during construction. Add coffee, bagels and a sky-high view of the sunrise and you have one amazing rooftop party that even New Yorkers would envy. Guests included stakeholders associated with the development and Project Group’s staff who came together to mark the next milestone.

Reasons to celebrate:

  • A successful stakeholder and staff event that evoked excitement and pride with everyone involved in the Nightingale project – this is the future of housing!
  • We married the event with a handful of media hits including coverage in The Fifth Estate, Urban Melbourne and Architecture & Design, all of which was leverage and commented via social reaching over 450K people that week.
  • The doughnuts – they were seriously off tap.
