They call it the ‘the Miami of Melbourne’, so when we were asked to head to Rosebud for the Peninsula Short Film Fest we packed our bathers and hit the road. We came on board for the festival’s sixth year running and whilst we hit the Mornington surf, we also helped make this year’s festival the biggest yet. Our remit was mainly media relations and with more exposure came greater support and attendance of influential faces.

Reasons to celebrate:

  • In just two months we reached over 17 million people with the majority of coverage shared and talked about on social media.
  • Record crowds with 7,000 people at the festival.
  • Metro radio press junket and a full-page feature on festival founder and actor Steve Bastoni in the Herald Sun Weekend supplement, which was syndicated nationally across News Corp’s online titles.
  • A podcast for film buffs and great reviews of the festival’s feature films
  • Helped curate the live broadcast with local radio station RPP including interviews with judges, celebrities, punters and sponsors.
